National Robotics Week 2018 Events

Thank you to everyone who hosted, promoted, and participated in National Robotics Week 2017! With your continuing help, we had over 300 events for Robo Week. The ninth annual National Robotics Week will be held April 7-15, 2018 and promises to be even bigger! Submit your own event!

  • 2014 Greater D.C. Botball® Tournament, Mt. Vernon High School

    The Botball® Educational Robotics Program engages middle and high school aged students in a team-oriented robotics competition. Participants' robots compete with each other on a custom playing field in a fast paced, non-destructive regional tournament. The robots are student built and programmed to maneuver on the game board without the need for remote control. Come check it out and root for the students!

    Chantilly Robotics will be hosting Oak Hill Elementary School's FIRST Night: Jr. FLL Expo & Awards Ceremony.

  • Virginia Western Community College [VWCC ] Spring 2014 Autonomous Robot Competition, Virginia Western Community College

    This evening of robots and fun is similar to the Fall 2013 competition held at VWCC and will use the same track format and robot design guidelines using a Parallax Boe-Bot kit, and all teams will be responsible for any extra parts. In addition to the competition, the Roanoke Robotics club will be exhibiting autonomous and remote control sumo-bots during the evening.

    FredericksWerken, Fredericksburg Virginia's local hackerspace will be at the Spotsylvania towne Centre as part of Family Fun Fest, we will have Floid our dancing robot, combat robots, maze robots and various other electronic and computer gadgets.

  • Virginia Military Institute's Annual Robotics Day, Virginia Military Institute

    The annual event includes demonstrations of robots and projects built by VMI cadets and faculty. FIRST LEGO League, FIRST Robotics Competition, and local industry and groups will also be there with robot demonstrations and exhibits. We are also trying to schedule the Virginia State Police Bomb-Disposal Robot team, depending on their availability.

  • MATE Mid-Atlantic Regional ROV Competition, Old Dominion University Recreation and Wellness Center

    MATE’s international student underwater robotics (remotely operated vehicle or ROV) competition consists of an international event and a network of 22 regional contests that take place across U.S. and in Canada, Hong Kong, Scotland, Japan, and Egypt. Student teams from upper elementary schools, middle schools, high schools, home schools, community colleges, universities, and community organizations, such as the Boys and Girls Club and 4-H, participate. The competition consists of four different classes that vary depending on the sophistication of the ROVs and the mission requirements.
