  • RoboCupJunior NY/NJ competition 2015, HORACE MANN SCHOOL

    RoboCupJunior is ever-growing worldwide, with approximately 35 countries participating in 2014. Teams at the RoboCupJunior USA competition that qualify for internationals will be invited to participate in the RoboCupJunior World Championship 2015 to be held in July 2015 in Hefei, China.

  • RoboCupJunior US Competition, Horace Mann School

    RoboCupJunior is an international educational initiative to promote fun and exciting learning experiences through robotics competitions for young students. The emphasis is on hands-on learning and teamwork. The first RoboCupJunior World Championship was held in Melbourne, Australia in 2000. Each year, the RoboCupJunior World Championship travels to a new location across the globe. RoboCupJunior is a division of RoboCup – an international initiative to promote robotics research at the college and graduate levels. Anyone interested in competing in RoboCupJunior can participate in one of three leagues: Soccer, Rescue or Dance. RoboCupJunior is ever-growing worldwide, with approximately 35 countries participating in 2014. Teams at the RoboCupJunior USA competition that qualify for internationals will be invited to participate in the RoboCupJunior World Championship 2015 to be held in July 2015 in Hefei, China.

  • Duanesburg K-6 Science Fair, Duanesburg Elementary School

    The intent of the science fair is to encourage students in Grades K-6 to ask questions about the things around them. Each participating student will research a topic of interest and then develop a presentation detailing what he/she learned. He/she will then be given an opportunity during the science fair to present his/her project to the judges. The science fair will also provide an opportunity for students participating the extracurricular robotic activities: FIRST LEGO League and SeaPerch to present their robots.
