Robotics in Hamilton County 4-H is a project/activity that youth can participate in. It is not like other 4-H projects. It does not currently have any rules or guidelines for project completion. No rules in a handbook. It is more of an activity that is designed to help launch youth who have an interest in science education areas.

SeaPerch is an innovative underwater robotics program that equips teachers and students with the resources they need to build an underwater Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) in an in-school or out-of-school setting. Students build the ROV from a kit comprised of low-cost, easily accessible parts, following a curriculum that teaches basic engineering and science concepts with a marine engineering theme.

MATE’s international student underwater robotics (remotely operated vehicle or ROV) competition consists of an international event and a network of 36 (and growing!) regional contests that take place across the United States and in Canada, Hong Kong, Scotland, Egypt, China, Russia, Turkey, and Bermuda. Student teams from upper elementary schools, middle schools, high schools, home schools, community colleges, universities, and community organizations, such as the Boys and Girls Club and 4-H, participate.
