Build a robot, draw a robot, code a robot with your friends. There are no rules other then to share the excitement of robotics with your friends, family, or community. Share with us how you will be celebrating!
As part of a FIRST® team, kids apply math and science knowledge, solve problems, make decisions, communicate complex ideas, collaborate as part of a team, exercise leadership, manage resources, create and execute business plans – all essential skills in any successful technological enterprise. FIRST® competitions and tournaments are celebrations by which communities convey the importance of their students’ achievements in science and technology. FIRST® celebrations are fun, energetic and filled with excitement.

A virtual panel on the needs for safe and remote handling of patients with infectious diseases and how robots can help. During the Ebola outbreak of 2015, Purdue's Prof. Richard Voyles was at the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy and organized a workshop to explore the Ebola outbreak, which resulted in some test robot deployments in Africa. Led by Prof. Robin Murphy, who participated in the Ebola workshop, the Purdue team joins with colleagues from the United States and China to explore current and potential roles for robots during the Covid-19 outbreak. The Collaborative Robotics Lab will host a virtual companion event on remote robot operation for all ages. Date and time subject to change.
