Full day of robot fun for the entire family. The 2016 Robot and Technology Expo is an opportunity for youth to demonstrate their knowledge, celebrate their accomplishments and interact with others who share their interest in robotics, programming, and all things tech. This event is open to all youth and the public at large. It consists of several competitions: VEX Skills Events, VEX Nothing But Net Competition, Robofest Game and Exhibition Events, a Scratch Programming Competition and a LEGO Building Competition. .
Youth may participate in one or more events.There will also be free hands-on activities for families to enjoy..

Robofest is a festival of competitions and events with autonomous robots that encourages students to have fun while learning principles of Science, Technology, Engineering, and math (STEM) and Computer Science. Robotics Design Challenge is an event for K-8 youth, where they build LEGO-robots with a variety of sensors, and program them to accomplish a given task. The Challenge has been hosted annually since 2006 by the Center staff, in collaboration with K-12 teachers, 4-H and other community organizations. The goal is to introduce STEM skills at a an early age, and to motivate them to pursue science and engineering careers.

In FIRST STRONGHOLDSM, two Alliances of three robots each are on a Quest to breach their opponents’ fortifications, weaken their tower with boulders, and capture the opposing tower. Robots score points by breaching opponents’ defenses and scoring boulders through goals in the opposing tower.
