Build a robot, draw a robot, code a robot with your friends. There are no rules other then to share the excitement of robotics with your friends, family, or community. Share with us how you will be celebrating!
The Gulf Coast Regional SeaPerch Challenge brings middle and high school students from all across the Mississippi and Louisiana southern region together to compete in three different SeaPerch events: Two water competitions and one poster competition. SeaPerch is a student constructed remotely controlled underwater robot that engages the minds and hearts of students as they seek to make meaningful connections between science content and engineering principles related to underwater exploration. Young and old get excited about building and playing with robots. The SeaPerch design is cost-efficient and "reusable" allowing schools and independent organizations to adopt this program. Most importantly, SeaPerch allows teachers and mentors to excite and create a sense of wonder and curiosity for middle and high school students as they meet and exceed mastery of National and State Science Standards including the new Next Generation Science Standards.
