Bring a robot to the library, host a demo at a university, or organize a robot convention. There are no rules other then to share the excitement of robotics with your community. If you hosted an event in 2020, tell us about your event.
The FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) is the premier engineering challenge for high school students. Teams of students, working closely with teachers and volunteer mentors, have six weeks to conceptualize, design, build, program, modify and test a robot to participate in a competition that changes each year.

Yaskawa Motoman, a leading robotics company in the Americas, is hosting educational events at our facility in Miamisburg on April 7. HIGH SCHOOL AND COLLEGE STUDENTS highly interested in robotics and automation technology are welcome to attend. Visits will include a tour of our robotics lab to see and interact with live demonstrations. Students will have the opportunity to talk to engineers and technicians regarding automation and career opportunities. One-hour sessions are available. Registration is required.
Session times: 9:00 – 10:00 am; 1:00 – 2:00 pm. More times may be added as required.

The National Robotics Challenge is designed to provide students of all ages and levels of study the opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge and understanding of manufacturing processes, controls, robotics and other technologies through competitive engineering contests. Students are judged on their application of technology principles, engineering concepts and their ability to solve real-world problems through a team approach.

The Mini-Urban Challenge is a national competition sponsored by the United States Air Force Research Laboratory and the Doolittle Institute that challenges high school students to design and operate a robotic car to autonomously navigate a model city. The cars are developed using LEGO® MINDSTORMS® Education kits that are provided to high school teams free of charge.

Robofest is a festival of competitions with autonomous robots to master principles of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM), computer science, Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), and problem solving skills while designing, constructing, and programming the robots.
Since 1999, over 16,000 students have competed in Robofest, including teams from 13 US States, England, Canada, China, France, India, Brazil, South Korea, Mexico, South Africa, Hungary, and Singapore.

Ever wanted to try your hand at building and programming a robot? Already a master at it? Join us in some friendly competition ranging from beginner challenges to the hard stuff. Our members will be on hand to help the beginners build the robot step by step and in case anyone else gets stuck.
We provide the materials, then you have 3 hours to build and program your creation. Gift card prizes for best performing robots!

Open to public. Teams of three to four Ohio State engineering students will set their robots in motion around a student-built 12-square-foot course that simulates a base of operations in a desolate Arctic area. The fully autonomous robots have just two minutes to perform specific tasks, including restoring the main power by raising a utility pole, delivering supplies to a maintenance building, communicating the outside weather conditions to the base and restarting an oil pumping station. The robots are limited in size to a 9-square-inch footprint and constructed of various materials, including sheet metal, PVC, acrylic, plywood and Erector set components.

This 2nd annual Jr. FLL Expo is hosted by Mansfield Seventh-Day Adventist School. It is scheduled on a Friday to accommodate school teams, but is open to all Jr. FLL teams able to attend.
