Bring a robot to the library, host a demo at a university, or organize a robot convention. There are no rules other then to share the excitement of robotics with your community. If you hosted an event in 2020, tell us about your event.
Youth team up in groups of 2 or 3 and build a Lego Robot. The team then enters their robot in the SuGo wrestling competition

Local FIRST Robotics Teams will be holding robotics demonstrations at the Children's Discovery Museum of West Virginia.
FIRST Robotics Competition Team 2614 (MARS) and FIRST Tech Challenge Team 6965 (The Westwood Robotics Alliance) will be there with robots to discover and drive. Come by and check out the opportunities to be involved.
Do you love robots? Celebrate National Robotics Week at the museum. Admission to this special event is free, but we ask that you bring a non-perishable food item. Food will be donated to The Rack, WVU's food bank as part of the Feinstein Challenge.

This WSR Sumo meet is April 27th at Fairmont Senior High School. Registration begins at 1:00 when tems may calibrate and finetune their robots and programming and try a practice run before checking in their robots. All robots must be checked-in by 2:00 when the matches will begin.
Lego Sumo Entry fee $20.00 per team, or $17 if paid in advance.
(This is our second event this season. Our February 23rd competition was a great success and a huge amount of fun. We will have pictures and possibly video up online soon!)
The goal of Lego Sumo is for a robot to push or flip an opponent robot out of the ring within the allotted time frame. A team can be comprised of up to five members with one Lego Mindstorms robot per entry. Each team should also have one adult present with the team.
