    Local robotics clubs will be exhibiting their robots for the attendees of RavenCon from 9-11am, Saturday morning. RavenCon is a science fiction convention that will be held April 5-7, 2019.

  • Greater DC/Virginia Region Botball Regional Tournament, Annandale High School

    The Botball® Educational Robotics Program engages middle and high school aged students in a team-oriented robotics competition, and serves as a perfect way to meet today’s new common core standards. Students use science, engineering, technology, math, and writing skills to design, build, program, and document robots in a hands-on project that reinforces their learning.

  • Celebrate Robotics at South County Library for National Robotics Week, Roanoke South County Library

    Visitors are greeted by Pepper the Robot. Come talk with, and take selfies with, Pepper. The fun includes Robots and coding demonstrations, hands on exhibits with the robots and their humans. Featured robot platforms include: iRobot Create, Arduino, Raspberry Pi, MicroBits, Elegoo robots, Parallax BoEbot, Cosmo, Dash, Lego, and Dexter robots. Live hands on demos include First Lego League Robot teams from the local schools. Come dressed as your favorite robot.

  • FIRST Chesapeake District Championship Event (robotics), George Mason University

    Free and open to the public! Fifty-eight of the best and brightest high school robotics teams will be competing in this two day event. Come out and cheer on your favorite team or learn more about bringing FIRST Robotics Programs to your community. Following the six-week design and build phase, teams enter two of seven District competitions in the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia. Teams compete for scores that will earn them a place at the FIRST Chesapeake District Championship.
