The first Robotics Hackathon at the YC office. ​One weekend to build applications on a general-purpose robot across manipulation, navigation and interaction. ​Hosted by Innate (YC F24), Iterate, NASA, Deepmind, (and more more) this event brings together 120 builders using 25 MARS robots. This Hackathon is the opportunity to build something hard and get ready for the future. The physical world is about to be unlocked.

The National Robotics League Colorado offers a great opportunity for high school students to learn about robotics and engineering while exposing them to manufacturing, engineering, or industrial careers. Watch as teams from across Colorado battle it out with the help of local machine shops who helped them to engineer and build their bot for this tough fight against other student teams.

Learn about some of the most unique creatures from around the world with the Flying Fox Conservation Fund, get an up-close and personal look at reptiles with Crosstown Exotics, visit our SLIME Lab, or take part in the stimulating science activities we'll have for all to enjoy.

Introducing Makers Lab—an upgraded Maker Space experience designed just for middle and high schoolers! This dedicated lab time invites pre-teens and teens ages 11+ to dive into tinkering, testing, experimenting, and inventing with tools and materials geared toward advanced creativity. With exciting new additions to the space and fresh monthly challenges—like egg drops, chain reactions, engineering puzzles, and more—Makers Lab gives young innovators the freedom to explore big ideas, push their skills, and bring bold creations to life.

Presented by the Wireless Research Center, this free family networking fair celebrates Technology, Engineering, and Math. STEM Saturday will expose students to a variety of STEM career options, while featuring STEM-related exhibits, demonstrations, and hands-on learning activities.

GSCP2P will host a State-wide Girl Scout STEM Festival at the North Carolina Zoo with a theme of Space. This hands-on event will present girls with challenges from a variety of STEM fields. From coding, to manipulating robots, and even tasting some astronaut food “girls will get messy and have fun learning about what it takes to be a engineer and/ or astronaut."

Wearable technology, robotics, quantum computing, and more…welcome to Duke Engineering! We invite community members of all ages to spend the afternoon with Duke Engineering faculty, staff, and students. Engage in over 20 hands-on activities and demos to experience the fun and joy of STEM. Participate in “STEM-ulating Conversations” with faculty and students to hear how they imagine, build, and belong at Duke. Take a tour of the Duke Engineering Quad to learn about our engineering research and education. And, after all that excitement, you might just earn a prize!

The Kenyan K. Beals Community Robotics Center is a joint project between Hawaii Science and Technology Museum and Mokupāpapa Discovery center. We’ve partnered to introduce new students to robotics as well as offer lab and practice space to local teams. Through KKBCRC we offer the VEX VRC and VEX IQ platforms as well as MATE ROV underwater robotics. Located on the top floor of 76 Kamehameha Ave, this STEM education center is a place to share the love of robotics with students and help new teams and coaches get started with the resources and information they need. Come visit us every Saturday from 10am-2pm!

Featuring hands-on activities created by teachers, students, local universities, museums, community organizations, and businesses, STEAMfest offers visitors an exciting look into the fields of science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics. It’s an opportunity to take part in fun, engaging, hands-on activities that give us even more reason to imagine, discover, and explore all of the wonderful possibilities that surround us.

Come join us for an introduction to 3D printing and CAD! We will learn how to use TinkerCAD and how 3D printing works. There will be a live demonstration of the 3D printer working. Participants may receive a 3D printed giveaway upon participation.

Curious about 3D printing? Attend this introductory program on 3D printing, how it works and explore your creativity with our new Makerspace equipment. Attendees will be able to choose a small item to be printed and picked up later. This program is open to teens and adults. Space is limited to 10 attendees, so please see a staff person 30 minutes prior to the start of the program to pick up a ticket which will be your registration.

This event includes a live demonstration and hands-on teleoperation experience with Stanford’s ALOHA open-source robot, followed by a technical talk from Rose City Robotics CTO Joseph Cole, PhD. Attendees will also hear updates on trends and innovations in machine learning, robotics, and the future of physical AI, along with insights into career opportunities and ways to contribute to open-source robotics hardware and software. Only open to active university students and faculty in Engineering, Business, Computer Science, and Mathematics.

Founded by the Society of Manufacturing Engineers in 1986 as the Robotic Technology and Engineering Challenge under the guidance and inspiration of Tom Meravi and Dr. James Hannemann. Known as the National Robotics Challenge since 2005, this event is the longest continually operating robotics event in the United States, and is the premier educational event for open-platform robotics competition.
